As a self taught photographer and artist, Doug Hammerberg (Whispering Peaks Photography) lives in Kalispell Montana which is so close to the beauty of Glacier Park and Yellowstone as well as the Cabinet and Bob Marshall Wilderness, inspiration to create art is with you when you wake each morning and when you go to bed each evening. Great landscapes and plentiful wildlife surround you and sweep you away daily. When my bride passed away in 2020, she told me to keep being creative. So to keep that promise, I carry my camera on every hike I take. This last year as well I have began painting with acrylics and specialize in abstracts. Abstracts capture the emotion of what I feel. These three trumpeters rested and stretched but for a moment before taking flight. It was shallow enough to look as if they were standing on water. Stretched and watched their own reflections as if to say....look at us, we are magnificent!
